Welcome To Your Pendulum

The origin of the pendulum dates back to before 6,000 B.C., Records indicate that the pendulum was first used for the art of dowsing or divining, to locate underground water supplies, minerals, and precious metals.  Modern uses for the pendulum include chakra balancing, finding lost objects, and natural healing.

To use your pendulum, follow these simple instructions:

Step 1:

To initiate a relationship with your pendulum, you must first ask it to be still.  To do this, take a deep breath, relax the mind, clear your thoughts, and focus on the word “search”.  When the pendulum settles (stops), you have accomplished the first step.  Use this method before each question asked in order to get a clear response. Take a moment to practice removing your intention and allow spirit to guide.

Step 2:

One may then establish definite directions (pendulum movements) for yes and no answers.  These directions are unique to each user.  Hold the chain or abalone handle between 2 fingers allowing the crystal freedom of movement and say, “Give me a definite direction for the answer ‘yes’”. Your pendulum will eventually start to swing back and forth or side to side. The direction that it chose to swing indicates your “yes” answer. This will be so from this point on. Now that you have established your “yes” answer, ask your pendulum to give you a definite direction for the answer “no”. Use the same method and trust the pendulum’s choice of direction. When the directions are clearly determined, the pendulum is ready for use.

For each answer, the pendulum will either move in a circle (clockwise or counterclockwise) or a straight line (vertical or horizontal).  Each individual will establish their own unique directions which will be consistent from that point on, regardless of which pendulum you may use.  (TIP:  If your pendulum is moving in an erratic or indefinite pattern, reword your question to make it more specific.  You may also wish to “sage” your pendulum prior to use.) 

Important:

Our future is as we create it.  One should not attempt to divine the future or interfere with another person’s will. The pendulum must be used without emotional attachment to the outcome; that is the key to healthy divination.

The pendulum is often used as a tool in natural healing.  It can indicate energy levels when held over the various chakras. It can assist the healer in locating imbalances in dis-eased areas. Practitioners can hold the pendulum over the troubled area and visualize energy being sucked out sending it up to the light (so to not absorb any negative energy yourself.)  Your pendulum can also be helpful for communicating with animals and those who have passed.
